Healing 101
The Spells
Healing spells are your prime life source in the game, but regen is just as important. I haven't tested if spirit or wisdom has the greatest effect on healing yet, but plan to do so (or offer the credit to someone that can test it out for me).
Instead, here's your healing spells + their description. I'm certain there are even better ones as you continue to level; Those will be added as I continue with my grinding ^.^
Basic Heals
AOE Heals
Regen Heals
It's always important to save your MP; There's no point in using a level 3 Cure on a player that's missing just 1k of health; For the most part, a level 1 Cure will do the job just fine. This is one of the first steps in becoming a master healer: Knowing when to use the right kind of heal and how.
It's also important to have a 'system' laid out for your spells in a manner that works for you. Below I have my current set up displayed. The heals on the top row go from least effective on the left, to most effective on the right (Cure 1 - Cure 2 - Cure 3: in that kind of order).
The cures on the bottom bar are the most powerful options avaliable; They're there to use immediately if an emergency calls for it. However, as talked about earlier, if a player is at, say, 4000 health out of 5000, I'm going to use Cure 1 or 2 instead of 3 to save MP
Which leads me to the how.
For the most part, you won't be doing any personal one on one healing jobs; You'll be in a grind party, tending to everyone at the same time. Cura, the AOE Heal, works wonders in this field. However, there will be times when everyone isn't completely together in the same area for your AOE heal to hit them.
The image below shows a common situation. Picture a mob of creatures surrounding Pageo: You'd find it rather difficult to click on him in time to heal him, right?
Equally, you'd find it difficult to heal someone that isn't in your line of sight
That's when the Party System sidebar comes into play. It's rather easy: Click on their name and now they're selected (Granted they're within a certain range/same area: For discussion sake, we assume that the player was in the Tipy area with your party). This clears up any frustration in part of not being able to click on your alley due to mobs being in the way, and it also allows you to automatically find a party member in need and head towards them! (In order to head towards them even when you don't know where they are, after you clicked on them press your button for your Cure spell).
Hoped you enjoyed this healers tutorial, more content/fixes to come in the future.
